Jesus’s final commands to his disciples were to make disciples by taking the gospel to the ends of the earth. He made this clear in Matthew 28:1820 as well as in Acts 1:8. This is our calling as Christians not just for a special few. God saves us with an intent to send us: to a neighborhood, to a new city, or perhaps to a different country. And it is our special privilege to be ambassadors of Christ as we encourage and support mission efforts locally, nationally, and internationally. We hope that you will pray, give, and go in support of fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission.
We believe that we play a role in helping see every tribe and nation hearing and receiving the gospel. This motivates us to go to the hard places and to unreached peoples. While there are a plethora of needs globally our focus is primarily to the unreached people of South Asia. There are over 200 unreached people groups in this region. But we believe that through partnerships with disciplemaking church planters there we can see the gospel come to life!
Pray for the people of South Asia. Pray for the work of our partners there. And consider going on a shortterm or even longterm trip to participate in the work. Please email Dustin Walker at for more information about global missions.
City Church is serving the Murfreesboro community in numerous ways, many of which are not organized by the church at large but motivated by the gospel through the hearts of people. Our church body is encouraged to live missionally through their Community Groups as they reach their neighbors and coworkers. As a church we are focusing our efforts to reach the immediate community in downtown Murfreesboro through building a relationship with the teachers and staff at Bradley Academy. We find in general that the best way to be involved in local mission is to be part of a community group. For more information about serving locally, contact Dustin at
There are many ways to minister to the needs of people and share the gospel. We believe that the most effective way to continue seeing the gospel multiplied is to plant new churches. Therefore as we send and support missionaries we prioritize church planting as the means for making disciples in the context of a believing community.
City Church is a part of a church planting network called The Summit Network. Find out more about this network and the church plants we are currently supporting.
